Does your door at home just slide in and out of the frame without latching shut? Do you have to push on the door, or muscle it up or down to get it to latch? This is one of the most common household problems. It is caused by house settling, temperature variation, newly installed door hardware, weather stripping, door warping, and door mounted accessories. Door latch failure degrades privacy, security, pet management, and home value. And repair can be notoriously difficult, usually requiring ugly chiseling, messy grinding, some guesswork, and often an expensive carpenter or handyman visit. We need our doors to work, but don’t want to spend a lot of time and $$$ on it. The GATOR Door Latch Restorer is an innovative solution to this misalignment problem, and the first and only product on the market that solves horizontal and vertical misalignments. It has a wide mouth for shifting latch bolts and dual latching edges to ensure a grab. The patent pending design makes chiseling and grinding obsolete. That's correct. The GATOR installs in minutes ... virtually anyone with a screwdriver can do it. For just a few dollars per fixed door, now is the time to get all your home doors latching again the simple and fun way. And it's a must-have for door hardware upgrades. Replaces standard sized 2 ¼” by 1 ¾” full lip strike plates, with screws 1 5/8” apart. Durable steel construction ... Invented in the USA by a Naval engineer. Try it today risk-free. Satisfaction is guaranteed, or your money back. Antique brass and polished brass finishes are coming soon, but now available in the original GATOR Strike Plate. Note: This product is not intended to repair misalignment of exterior door sliding deadbolts.
